A celebration of all things left of centre, edgy and totally different, Fringe has quickly found it's way onto people's 'must' list in Bunbury
There was an incredible range of opportunities on offer at the Fringe Festival in Bunbury this year. Jo O’Dea (Art Events Management) and her team did an amazing job of bringing all things provocative and quirky to our town.
The Fringe Hub was at the Power Boat Club, with the Inlet and the City as a backdrop. Great place to gather for a local wine or craft beer from the bar and entertainment as the sun set each evening during Fringe Week. Some even came across the water by boat arranged especially to add to the Fringe experience.
There really was something for everyone, with stand up, music, improv, wine yoga, poetry and storytelling, music and comic theatre. There were hints of Fringe throughout the town, little installations to remind us all. There were a lot of satellite events too, held at places like Mojo’s and BREC, even Fringe Noir Cinema on a rooftop in the CBD.
We pretty much did not see Walter and a couple of our other lads for the week. They were meshed deep in Fringe world and were quite frankly loving it. It pays to be flexible and quick thinking in this world, where things change quickly and the unexpected is to be expected.
So good to see how this event has grown in such a short time. It is a credit to the organisers, supporters and a great thing for Bunbury.
