What an impressive building the Margaret River HEART is. Eye catching from the outside and beautiful on the inside, it has multiple spaces, designed to cater for a wide range of entertainment, arts, community and business functions. This was a complete transformation of the original building to a state of the art facility in the beautiful Margaret River region.
Totally Sound became involved in the tender process at the point where decisions were being made regarding sound and lighting for the main theatre.

Totally Sound were contracted by the Shire of Augusta Margaret River to supply and install the Audio System for the newly refurbished Margaret River HEART complex.
Technical Supervisor Phil Bebb said ‘From the initial specification through to installation and commissioning of the audio system, Totally Sound have been expertly knowledgeable, honest, reliable, and an absolute pleasure to deal with’.
Derek Peterson and the team at Totally Sound understand intricately, the multifaceted types of events that the venue hosts and the audio applications required to successfully deliver theatre, cinema, conferencing, live events and especially music.
The installation specification was for a compact concert system that would offer a narrow horizontal dispersion with the ability to provide even program to all seats in a long and narrow auditorium.
We looked at various audio systems for the Main Auditorium and the most suitable was the L’Acoustics ARCS Wide and ARCS Focus Line Source system.
The System consists of:
- Main L&R Array: 2 x L’Acoustic ARCS Focus, 1 x ARCS Wide, Constant Curvature WST Line Source
- Subs: 4 x L’Acoustic SB18M Subs
- Stage Lip Infill: 6 x L’Acoustic 5XT Lip Fill Speakers
- System Drive : 3 x L’Acoustics LA4X Amplified Controllers
We receive positive comments on the clarity and quality of the audio in the Main Auditorium constantly.
Be it Theatre, Cinema, Conferencing or Live Music our patrons are leaving satisfied, they have been completely immersed in the experience and that is due largely to the audio program.
The L’Acoustics system works in perfect harmony with the acoustics of the new building delivering a crystal clear program and physical energy to every seat in the house as specified.
