There was a particular sparkle about the town as we drove our vans and trucks amidst the caravans into Boyup Brook for the annual Boyup Brook Country Music Festival this year. The town looked amazing, all spruced up with blooming, manicured gardens, and the lawn at music park all lush and trimmed. John Williamson headlined this year, with Catherine Britt, the Adam Eckersley Band, Bec Hance, Justin Standley and many more performers taking the stage over the weekend.
The festival has many facets, including the WA Country Music Awards, the Ute and Truck Muster, the Art Awards, the Sunday morning Bush Poets, Street markets and of course the main program at the Music Park. John Williamson took the stage on Saturday night. It was the perfect evening, a still clear night with the trees of the Music Park lit up and an appreciative crowd singing along to ‘True Blue’.
The team at Totally Sound love heading down to Boyup each year and this year seemed particularly special. A credit to the town and a hard working committee. Special thanks to Colin Barret who’s hospitality was much appreciated.
